Something that has always inspired me is the idea of shoes and socks. To me they contain a history of where an individual has been and the experiences they have had. The boot on the left is sculpted after a pair of my work boots, the boot on the right my husbands. We traveled together to participate in an artist residency at Sanboa Ceramic Institute in Jingdezhen China. Jingdezhen is known for its porcelain. Somewhere Between Here and There is an exploration of that experience.
