Title: UNKNOWN LANDSCAPE Media: Plywood and ceramic tiles
Unknown Landscape is a work that was produced through my explorations in China. I participated in a residency at Sanboa Ceramic Art Institute where I made a the ceramic tiles for the work. This piece began with a drawing that I scanned and cut out of wood with a CNC router. I used that as a press mold for the ceramic tiles, once I had the ceramic tiles I began crating the final plywood piece they are set in. The piece is about explorations of new places, landscapes, and new processes (at least new to me at the time).
