This work was part of an exhibition called Crating potential along side Lift. This work was created after my first winter in Anchorage living in the darkness. The cast iron section on top of the crates is a slice of a landscape that was modeled from the Chugiak Mountain range on the east side of Anchorage Alaska were the sunrises, at least part of the year…The light is mounted on somewhat of a crane or industrial style arm that can be positioned in different positions, however, I positioned the light so it was just poking over the mountain range showing that glimmer of gold.
